Dear Esteemed Colleagues, Distinguished Speakers, and Delegates,

It is with great pleasure  that I extend a warm welcome to each of you as we gather for the 30th Annual Scientific Conference of the Malaysian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (MAOMS) and its 30th Anniversary Celebration. This momentous occasion will take place in Melaka, with the venue to be confirmed, from May 1 to 3, 2026.

This year’s theme, “Oncology and Reconstruction,” reflects the evolving challenges, as well as the continuing knowledge and innovations, in the field of oral oncology. As cancer treatments continue to advance, so too does the importance of surgical techniques in restoring function and quality of life for patients. Our aim is to explore the important basic but indispensable knowledge, including the latest advancements in ablative and reconstructive techniques to ensure excellent surgical outcomes.

We are honored to welcome several distinguished speakers from both local and international backgrounds, who will share their expertise across a range of topics. Their insights will continue to inspire us in handling such cases, encouraging modern and innovative practices to further enhance our practice and patient care.

As we celebrate 30 years of MAOMS, it is not only a time to reflect on our past achievements but also an opportunity to look ahead to the future of our specialty. This conference serves as a platform for deepening our understanding, exchanging ideas, and fostering collaboration among colleagues and experts in the field.
