The ongoing tragedy in Palestine has led to a humanitarian crisis that is significantly impacting the health and medical services in Gaza. Procedures such as wound toilet and suturing as well as other surgical procedures are being performed without anaesthesia and basic surgical instruments.

We are deeply concerned about this state and therefore, MAOMS would like to initiate a collaborative effort together with the Faculty of Dentistry UKM, Faculty of Dentistry USIM and Kulliyah of Dentistry UIAM to provide clinics or hospitals in the Gaza Strip with local anaesthesia (LA) kits. The LA kits will comprise of anaesthetic agents, needles and dental syringes.

We, the governing council have agreed to pledge RM5000.00 to kick start this Palestinian Health Emergency & LA Program (HELP).
